Aaron Markovich

His Memory

In memory of Aaron Markovich

My name is Revital.
I am a mother, and I am Arthur's wife.

My Aaron worked as a paid police officer at the Nova Festival.
On the eve of Simchat Torah and on the morning of October 7, when Hamas launched its surprise attack,
He and his friends realized almost immediately that this was something much bigger and more dangerous than a missile attack.

Before leaving, he made sure we were safe in the safe room.
And then he said the sentence that has stayed with me ever since.
"I'm going to take the kids back.".

On Route 232, Aharon and his friends set up an improvised roadblock in front of the terrorists.
They stopped the terrorists with their bodies,
Thanks to them, hundreds of young people were able to escape, survive, and improve their situation.

The battle lasted about two hours.
Aaron was wounded in the knee, but continued to fight until the last bullet.
When the ammunition in the small personal pistol ran out,
RPG missiles were fired at him and his friends.
That's where he fell. While protecting others.

Beyond being a police officer and a fighter, Arthur was first and foremost a father.

A devoted father, a beloved man, a man of peace, love, and kindness.

He loved children deeply. It was hard for him to see a child suffer.
He would often visit hospitals with games and small gifts,
Just to bring a smile to your face.
Without noise. Without anyone knowing. Just because that's how he was.

Aaron was a man of light. Since he is no longer with us,
I'm trying to explain to our children who their father was.
Not just how he fell, but how he lived.

And so I want to commemorate him in the same way that he acted during his lifetime.
The desire to create a memory that has life in it.
I want to establish a project in his memory.

Where children in hospitals will receive games and gifts

Bring a smile to their faces in difficult moments.

And that's exactly what Aaron loved to do.
To make children happy. To give them a moment of light amid the hardship.
He did this by bringing games and gifts to children in hospitals and other settings.

All of your donations will be used to purchase games and gifts.,
And to create activities that continue Arthur's legacy.
With simplicity. With generosity. With an open heart.

Help me honor my husband's memory and join me in working for the benefit of children.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart,
Revital Markovich
