Lior Raviv

His Memory

On the second anniversary of the death of my son, Staff Sergeant Lior Raviv, may his memory be blessed,
On Purim Eve, I choose to continue the good eye he had on every person.
Lior, a fighter in Battalion 932 of the Nahal Brigade, was the first to enter every mission.
First he took care of his friends, and only then himself.
He was truly humble and modest, quietly and steadily working on his character, striving to correct and improve himself every day.
He did not seek honor for himself, but only sought to add goodness to the world.
A week before his release, during an operation to clear the area around Shifa Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip,
He was the first to enter the building with the force. A terrorist lying in wait opened fire at close range, and Lior was killed instantly.,
On the 13th of Adar II, 5784, March 23, 2024. He was 21 years old when he fell.
The verse he often quoted was engraved on his tombstone:,
“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me.”.
Lior taught us that true kindness begins with good character, with seeing others,
With quiet care that asks nothing for itself.
This year, in honor of Purim, I would like to commemorate him in the way that suits him best.
Through kindness and generosity that comes from the heart.
We will distribute food vouchers to needy families and fulfill the mitzvah of giving gifts to the poor in a dignified manner.
This is your opportunity to fulfill the mitzvah of giving gifts to the poor in the most dignified and elegant manner.,
And to commemorate Lior through genuine giving that directly reaches families in need.
Every donation is a gift to another family that will celebrate with joy and dignity.,
And true partnership in commemorating and continuing the legacy of my son, Lior.
Every contribution is another light that continues from him.
Don't wait until after Purim. Donate now!

With heartfelt gratitude, Sarit-Sia Raviv
Lior's mother
